About plastering & painting

The final finish determines how a room feels and how the different elements come together. MVBouw takes care of plastering and painting, doors, stairs, carpentry and the agreed details. For a good result, we first look at the existing surfaces and at what needs to be preserved. We discuss colour, material and the desired finish for each room. The order of work with floors and other jobs is also important, so that new work can be protected and transitions can be finished carefully.

What we do

  • Plastering and paint-ready walls
  • Interior and exterior painting
  • Doors and frames
  • Stairs and carpentry
  • Skirting boards, sealing and details

How we work

  1. Assessing the surfaces
  2. Choice of colour and materials
  3. Work carried out room by room
  4. Detail check and handover

Duration: depending on the surface area

What does it cost?

The price depends on the surface area, the condition of the surfaces, the chosen materials and the desired level of detail.

Surface area matters, but the condition of the surfaces also determines how much preparation is needed. Cracks, damage, old layers, difficult access and a lot of detail work can change the amount of work. Describe whether you only want walls and ceilings treated, or doors, frames and stairs as well. After the site visit we specify the agreed preparation, materials and finish, so you can assess the quote on its content.

Frequently asked questions

What do I need to prepare before the start?

Before the start, we discuss which rooms need to be cleared and which items will stay in place and be protected. Let us know if there is furniture that cannot be moved and whether floors or stairs are already new. This helps with the preparation and the room-by-room planning. Access to connections, doors and windows must also be available. We agree who will take care of moving and protecting items, so that this is a clear part of the contract.

How do I pass on my colour and finish preferences?

For each room, indicate which surfaces are to be treated and which colour or look you want. A colour code or material sample makes the choice more concrete than a photo alone, because lighting and screens can make colours look different. We also discuss the sheen and the desired level of finish. At handover, we go through the agreed work together. Any changes during the project are discussed in advance, including their effect on the amount of work and the schedule.

What clients say

★★★★★
“We are so happy with MVBouw! They completely renovated our home: from the extension, bathroom and toilet to the plastering, painting and parquet floor. We found it quite nerve-racking to choose a contractor, but communication was very pleasant from the start. We were in touch every day, they thought along with us, and the team was extremely involved and hard-working. Everything is beautifully finished with great attention to detail. We would trust MVBouw with our keys again in a heartbeat!”
